1. Try to limit your comments to the topic in the post. The exceptions are prayer requests, encouragement for each other, or  suggestions for a future post. So that “In Real Life” remains a safe place for you to express yourself and get encouragement and support, we stick to the following guidelines. Trust me – they work.
2. It’s okay to comment on someone else’s comment, as long as you stay on topic. Stay away from lecturing, preaching and judging. You get enough of that in your life, right?
3. For safety reasons, don’t give any more specific information about where you live than your country or major part of the U.S. (Northeast, Pacific Northwest, etc.)
4. When you ask for prayer for someone, it’s best not to mention the person’s name, especially if that person also comments on the blog.  We try to respect everyone’s privacy.
5. It’s okay to talk about my books – which ones you recommend, and so forth – not because I’m all that but because those are the books I know. If we get into things I haven’t read or am not familiar with, I don’t feel like I can discuss those in a responsible way.
6. We usually stay away from discussing music and movies for the same reason.
7. We respect each other’s differences of opinion. Any time we disagree with one another, we do it in a loving, tactful way.
